Joe Torres founded All Risk Shield in 2013. Both a service disabled combat veteran and a firefighter, Joe has built a business with a focus on high quality customer service. Joe is married to his wife Amanda and is a father of 4; Hank, Sadie, Eli, and Ezra.
The Team
All Risk Shield is a Veteran owned and operated end to end Wildfire Prevention and Home Hardening services company that has been around since 2013. We offer a unique service which requires experience and specialized training. Our services provide a solution to the wildfire problem in an all-inclusive approach. These services include risk assessments, installation of Brandguard fire and ember resistant vents, application of Phos Chek long term fire retardant and vegetation management.
All Risk Shield currently operates a fleet of 14 trucks with multiple functions and capabilities throughout the state of California and another 4 trucks which are subcontracted to ARS from San Diego to Sonoma. Our Team consists of approximately 24 members whose skill and experience dictate their role and responsibility within the company.
The All Risk Shield Team has over 350 years of experience in the fire service. This amount of experience enables us to provide a complete and thorough assessment of a property and provide the client with the proper solution.
History
The 2018 Woolsley Wildfire carved the path for ARS moving forward. All of All Risk Shield’s clients, who were predominantly in Malibu, survived the Woolsley Wildfire. This was the proof of concept, that preventative layering and proper assessment proved was successful.
After that event ARS moved into 2019 building out a Team to take on the need of assessment and application. All Risk Shield has been requested/deployed in several fires for the purpose of emergency Phos Chek applications including the CZU Complex (Town of Pescadero), Caldor Fire (South Lake Tahoe), Glass Fire, and multiple smaller fires for our clients over the years. Today All Risk Shield is bifurcated into two divisions, Home hardening and Fire Defense which span two regions, North and South.
The Home Hardening Division primarily focuses on the consultation, measurement and installation of flame and ember resistant vents, fire resistant mesh, gutter guards, and the application of FlameCheck products. This Team is located throughout the state
The Fire Defense Division focuses on the assessment/consultation, education, training, application of fire retardant products (Preventative and Emergency), setting up of equipment, vegetation management and emergency response.
